About Us
Cheryl Crawford, ERYT- 500, RCYT, B.S.Ed.,Yoga Teacher, Co-Grounder

Cheryl Crawford, mother of triplets, is the co-founder of Grounded, Get Grounded Foundation, and Grounded for Good non-profit yoga service initiative.
She's been teaching her whole life. First to her stuffed animals and to her younger brother (when he sat still) and then for 11 years to the children of Atlanta in Fulton County Public Schools where she worked as an Elementary School Teacher, Reading Recovery specialist and Curriculum Coordinator. Cheryl began her yoga journey soon after her three daughters were born, and as her practice evolved, it became clear to her that she had to blend and balance her new dedication to yoga with her lifelong passion for teaching.
Cheryl has been a yoga teacher since 2003. Her classes are fun yet powerful invitations to connect to your heart, your strength, and your vision. She is committed to sharing her experience of artfully finding the balance between serious alignment and playful expansion. She has learned from many great teachers who have taught her that GROUNDING is the key to ELEVATION. She is grateful for all the teachers who have grounded her, especially her parents, her husband, Marsha Wenig, Paul Muller-Ortega, and Gina Minyard.
She is privileged to work with a diverse range of kids, teens and adults. Her greatest discovery is in the authentic and respectful conversations with her own teenage daughters and their classmates. That's what fuels her studio classes and trainings. Cheryl holds certifications in Anusara, Correlation Vinyasa, Hot Core Power, YogaKids, Laughter Yoga and Radiant Child. Cheryl has been recognized by local, national and international media for her work in yoga education for children and teens, and was chosen to be the first Lululemon Ambassador in Atlanta. Cheryl listens to the wisdom of the children and teaches from her highest self.
Amy Haysman, ERYT 200, RCYT, M.Ed.,Yoga Teacher, Co-Grounder

Amy's yoga practice began in 1995 and soon revealed itself as the answer in her quest to feel better, experience life more fully and participate in making the world a more joyful place. Her life's work and passion is grounding kids, teens and schoolteachers and training others to do the same. Noticing that the parents of Grounded kids often need to get grounded too, she began teaching classes for grown ups in 2009. Amy is the co-founder of Grounded and Grounded for Good non-profit yoga service initiative.
She holds a Masters Degree in Middle Grades Education and taught Literature and Social Studies to middle schoolers for many years. Her affinity toward great stories and culture is often reflected in her classes. Her two teenage boys, fiery partner and a happy little labradoodle provide plenty of opportunities to fill up with love, laughter and learning so she naturally brings that into her teaching. She believes that teaching yoga is hard work and takes a lot of preparation and authenticity. She has found that the more energy she puts into planning a lesson that speaks to the highest of each person's being, delivering a universal message, not theming around what's age popular, the deeper her students go. Amy is dedicated to sincerely connecting with each student and helping them ground in their own truth so they find the inner power, security and light heartedness to elevate to their absolute highest potential.
Amy's certifications include YogaKids, Radiant Child, Laughter Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Anusara Inspired. Her ambition is to always be a student and a teacher. She is proud to have studied and worked with inspirational teachers such as YogaKids creators Marsha and Don Wenig and Shakta Kaur Khalsa, founder of Radiant Child. She is grateful to have trained under Mitchel Bleier, David Aukamp, RuthAnn Martin, Gina Minyard, Ross Rayburn, Sianna Sherman and Paul Muller-Ortega and continues to study with brilliant teachers from around the world.
Bruce Crawford, Managing Partner and "Director of All Things Complicated"
Bruce, although not a certified yoga instructor, he happens to be in love with one....which by the transitive property makes him kinda grounded. With over 20 years of engineering, sales, and business development experience in the telecom/data networking industry, Bruce decided to turn his talents and energy towards growing and developing Grounded, LLC.
With a mindful eye on the business operations aspect, his main focus is to remove obstacles, solve problems, and handle all things complicated so that Amy, Cheryl, and the rest of the Grounded community have more time to "Ground" kids and teens. In this capacity he is responsible for financial reporting, IT infrastructure, web design and operations, e-commerce initiatives, product management, and organizational efficiency.
An avid marathon runner and charter participant in the "Yoga For Stiff Guys" class, Bruce has experienced first hand the positive transformation yoga can enable and is grateful for the opportunity to be working with a talented community of teachers who are dedicating their practice towards "elevating" our younger generation through yoga and laughter.
